We pride ourselves on high quality veterinary care and rely on our assistants/technicians to continue to give our clients and patients a great veterinary experience. We are a 2 doctor clinic that operates M-F 7-6 and Sat 8-12. We also offer boarding for our patients and require weekend shifts for medication and care. We need a responsible, reliable and organized individual who is able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Veterinary Assistants/Technicians are responsible for all aspects of animal care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: restraining animals, assisting doctors with exams and surgeries, monitoring patients while under anesthesia, monitoring patients in hospital, assisting patients recovering from surgery, collecting and running lab work, administering medications to animals, educating clients on medication administration, cleaning cages, feeding and watering animals, customer service, and client education. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes. You must be comfortable handling blood, urine, and feces for lab purposes. You must be reliable, self motivated, pay attention to detail, work well in a team setting as well as independently and take pride in your work. You must have reliable transportation. Pay is based on experience.
