Veterinary Technician Or Veterinary Assistant Gravel Springs Animal Hospital Dacula, GA 30019

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
• Take and develop X-rays
• Monitor animals during recovery from anesthesia
• Maintain accurate medical records for each animal
• Provide compassionate care and handle animals with patience and kindness

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
• Proficient in performing routine veterinary procedures
• Ability to operate X-ray equipment and develop X-rays
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members

Note:

While experience in dog training and pet grooming is not a requirement for this position, it may be considered an additional skill that could be beneficial in certain situations.
