Veterinary Assistant/Technician Cornerstone Animal Hospital 285 Smithville Ln, Alto, GA 30510 Cornerstone Animal Hospital is a privately owned, mixed animal veterinary hospital servicing the Northeast Georgia area. We offer a complete range of veterinary services including, but not limited to: physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment, spay/neutering, vaccinations, dental care, surgical care, radiology, blood work, parasite prevention/control, and more. Overview:

We are seeking a full time, experienced Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our growing team and help ensure we are continuing to provide compassionate care for each patient and their owner.

Position Responsibilities/Skills:

Professional client communication and client education Ability to be a member of a team and respectful to all team members Ability to multitask while maintaining a clean environment Ability to gather a detailed medical history and accurate vitals Ability to restrain a pet in a safe, caring, and efficient technique while using good judgement Ability to collect laboratory samples and perform necessary laboratory procedures Ability to perform diagnostic imaging while following safety protocols Proficiency in intravenous catheterization placement, venipuncture, PO/IV/IM/SQ medication administration, surgical preparation, surgical monitoring, and dental prophylaxis Ability to maintain cleanliness or maintenance of medical equipment

Position Requirements:

Veterinary Technician/Assistant experience required. Veterinary Technician Licensure preferred (CVT, LVT, RVT). Ability to work 40 hours per week as well as weekend shifts.
