Located a short 30 minute drive from Augusta, this clinic focuses on preventive medicine, spay/neuter, and supporting local animal rescue. Summary As a Veterinary Assistant at God’s Healing Hands, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in delivering exceptional care to our patients. This position is essential for ensuring the well-being of animals and assisting in various clinical procedures. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures to ensure optimal patient care. Provide compassionate care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with the administration of medications as directed. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Assist with diagnostic tests such as X-rays and laboratory samples. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance. Support kennel operations by managing animal housing and cleanliness. Requirements Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology. Experience in pet care or animal handling preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and pet owners. Basic understanding of veterinary procedures and techniques is a plus.
