Kennel Technician (Pet Exp. Req’d) The Puppy Lodge 203 Calhoun Station Pkwy, Madison, MS 39110 The Puppy Lodge has gained a strong reputation for outstanding pet care services in Ridgeland, MS, leading us to expand our business with a new location in Gluckstadt, MS. We are now looking for experienced pet care professionals with great customer service abilities to join our team and ensure our clients receive top-notch care. Our focus remains on upholding our reputation for excellence as we grow, and we are seeking dedicated individuals who share our passion for providing high-quality service. The Kennel Technician work most closely with our guests. They are responsible for keeping a safe and calm environment for the dogs. The following is a list of general responsibilities for the Kennel Attendant position. Previous Experience Required!
Responsibilities:
Clean and disinfect the kennels Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule Give animals in our care their medication as directed by veterinarians and vet techs Walk and play with the animals Help with bathing and grooming tasks
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices and basic veterinary procedures
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant certification is a plus
