Summary We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team at Clemmons Veterinary Clinic. In this role, you will support our veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their health and well-being while contributing to a positive experience for pet owners. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures. Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments. Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical areas. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians. Perform laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans. Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatments. Requirements Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and veterinary practices. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with compassion for animals. Basic understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry.
