The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals and supporting our veterinary staff in various tasks. This position requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals. Perform animal handling and restraint techniques to facilitate examinations and treatments. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian. Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and processing. Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinary team. Provide support in pet grooming and hygiene as needed. Maintain accurate medical records for each animal treated. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and health maintenance. Skills Knowledge of veterinary practices, including animal physiology and critical care. Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
