Veterinary Clinic Kennel Assistant 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 200 Pritchard Road, Clayton, NC 27527 This position is responsible for maintenance of the clinic’s kennel facility, treatment rooms, and surgical areas. He/she may be called upon to assist the veterinary technician or front office staff as required. Essential Job Functions

• Cleaning the entire kennel area including walls of all runs and cages, cage bars and floors, and food and water dishes on a regular schedule according to protocol.
• Maintaining general order and neatness in the kennel area (i.e. making certain newspapers are neatly stacked, food items orderly and easily accessible, extra litter boxes clean and in their proper place, empty all trash, etc.).
• Cleaning feces from walk area immediately after walking.
• Taking out trash, sweeping and mopping floors each shift.
• Cleaning treatment rooms after each patient, cleaning surgical suite following surgery as required.
• Assisting front office staff in general maintenance of waiting area.
• Sweeping and keeping the outside of the clinic and parking lot clean and orderly.
• Maintaining proper inventory of kennel supplies (i.e. cleaning supplies).
• Assisting front office staff as required.
• Maintains order and cleanliness in the rear of the clinic. IV. Personal Skills, Aptitudes, and Qualities
