Vet Assistant Position Available In Lincoln, North Carolina

Vet Assistant Ironton Animal Hospital 1392 Nc 73 Highway, Iron Station, NC 28080 Ironton Animal Hospital is urgently hiring for a Veterinary Assistant. This will be a Monday-Friday position, with one day off during the week. Hours are 8am-5:30pm. No weekends Preferred knowledge, abilities: Must be reliable. Must be comfortable while working around and handling animals. Must be able to communicate and work well with staff and clients. Experience with Cornerstone preferred, but not required. As an assistant you will be required too:

Assisting Doctors:

restrain pets during exam, prep animals for surgeries, assist in surgery, draw blood, use microscope. Perform a variety of lab work.

Animal care including:

feeding, walking, cleaning cages and administering medications as needed. Stocking inventory

• We do prefer someone who has experience in this field.
• Although, we are willing train the right person.
• Pay will be determined by experience.

From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
