Veterinary Nurse/Assistant Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital of Charlotte 9300 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28270 Are you looking for a 4 day work week ? No weekends? Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital of Charlotte is a small animal hospital located in the Charlotte/Matthews area with a focus on positive company culture. The veterinary field is tough on teams, but we’re here to change the game! We are seeking Veterinary Nurse/Assistants with a
MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR
EXPERIENCE and/or certification in the field to join our team.
Requirements for the position are:
- compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers and knows how to balance needs between the three
- understands the important of attendance to their team and shows a history of reliability with previous employers
- excellent communication even under stress
- safely and effectively restrain patients, utilizing humane and fear free focused techniques
- draw blood and place I.V. catheters
- experience assisting in surgery
- working knowledge of current vaccine protocols and prevention recommendations
- experience with effective client education
- skilled in running in house lab work/cytology
- employs thorough and effective record keeping
- interest and pursuance of continued education in the field
- willingness/ability to follow safety/OSHA protocol
- at least 1 year of small animal clinical experience
- interest in learning more about acupuncture and animal hospice/palliative care This position could turn into a cross training position for the right candidate.
