In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients. You will utilize your skills in radiology, surgery/anesthesia, wounds cares and client education all while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and their families. Responsibilities Catheterization and administering medications as directed, sample collections and radiology Prepare animals for surgery, including monitoring vital signs and maintaining anesthesia equipment. Provide basic nursing care, including feeding and exercising animals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments administered. Handle patients safely, employing proper restraint techniques. Educate pet owners on animal care practices, including dental terminology and basic health maintenance. Ensure cleanliness of the facility as needed Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to the veterinary team. Qualifications Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is required. Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care principles is highly desirable. Familiarity with dental terminology related to animal health is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for animal care and welfare is a must.
