About the Job Veterinary Technicians and Assistants are responsible for ensuring that clients and patients receive excellent care at every visit. As a Veterinary Technician/Assistant you will: Be expected to show initiative to efficiently and accurately complete tasks in a fast-paced environment Assist veterinarians in appointments and surgery. Perform technical duties such as venipuncture, catheter placement, proper restraint, collect and prepare laboratory samples, radiographic positioning, dental prophylaxis, and anesthetic monitoring. Provide client education in pet care, so you must be well versed in regards to various medical procedures and preventive care for pets. Perform reception duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, performing financial transactions, and assisting clients as necessary.
