Candidate Qualifications:
Proficient in outpatient care by supporting our doctors with examinations, diagnostic collection/preparation, treatments, and obtaining detailed medical histories. Possess a high level of customer service through active listening, compassion, and empathy. Ability to handle a high paced environment with a heavy workload and an ability to manage multiple responsibilities through successful multitasking and prioritization. Exhibit a high standard of patient care. Familiarity with Avimark Veterinary Management Software and IDEXX laboratory equipment is a plus. Additional Qualifications Experience in general surgery, monitoring anesthetic procedures, and surgery preparation is preferred. Skillful in dental prophylaxis, dental radiographs, and dental charting is preferred.
Responsibilities :
Patient handling with awareness to supporting patient emotional behavior Effective client communication: intake, discharge, history taking Successful phlebotomy: Cephalic, saphenous, and jugular veins IV catheter placement Diagnostic collection: radiographs, bloodwork, urine collection Pharmacy fulfillment Routine treatment procedures: ear cleans, anal gland expression, subcutaneous injections Dentistry including prophylaxis and radiology Surgical Assisting including monitoring, surgery preparation, and administering medications
Experience:
RVT /
Technicians :
Current license in good standing, 2+ years clinical experience
Veterinary Assistant :
