Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Mays Landing Veterinary Hospital 2304 Route 50, Mays Landing, NJ 08330 The ideal candidate is organized and dependable. Candidates must be able to lift 40lbs and be on their feet for extended periods of time, detailed oriented is a huge plus . Candidates should expect to work their entire shifts, options to leave early or dictate schedule is not an option. Saturday shift is mandatory [ 8 am- 2 pm} The position requires doing front desk work. Our dedicated team of veterinarians, technicians and compassionate support staff come together to provide personalized patient care and client education. You will be acting as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian to ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian’s productivity. Assisting veterinarians and veterinary medical team through the day-to-day function of the hospital and communicating with the team to maintain the flow of patients. Communicating with clients about unique pet health concerns and offering guidance on preventive care, medications, and other treatments. Using safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols and maintaining organized treatment area and exam room. Rate of pay is commensurate with experience.
