As soon as possible The College of Veterinary Medicine at Long Island University (Post Campus) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences and Field Liaison.

Duties:

Provide academic support to students during the pre-clinical phase of the DVM program in disciplines such as histology, physiology, and immunology Serve as proctor for students requiring testing accommodation Conduct independent and/or collaborative research within the organization, and with national and international partners Seek extramural funding to support research activities Conduct facilities inspections of clinical sites utilized during the 4th year of the DVM program Analyze data collected during the clinical phase of the DVM program and collaborate with team members to publish findings in peer-reviewed journals

Qualifications:

PhD degree in related life sciences and a minimum of 2 years of research experience.

Required skills:

Previous experience working with students in a veterinary program.
Demonstrated ability to publish research finding in peer-reviewed journals.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to support research activities as primary investigator or collaborator.
Excellent multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills. How to
