Court Square Animal Hospital is excited to welcome a Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative (CSR) to our amazing team! In this hybrid role, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes our clients and the compassionate hand that helps care for their pets. We’re a fast-paced, full-service hospital in the heart of Long Island City, and part of the West Hills Animal Hospital Family—a network of state-of-the-art practices across Long Island and NYC. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Your role will be a mix of client-facing responsibilities and hands-on patient care:
Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist doctors and technicians with patient care and restraint Care for in-house patients Fill prescriptions Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including laundry and general upkeep Support the medical team with various clinical tasks and projects
Client Service Responsibilities:
Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism Answer phones, respond to emails, and take accurate messages Schedule appointments and manage patient check-in/check-out Maintain client and patient records with accuracy and attention to detail – Keep the lobby and front desk organized and welcoming Skills Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary setting strongly preferred Bright, friendly, and clear communicator—both in person and over the phone Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand or move for long periods Must be comfortable in a veterinary setting with exposure to animals and potential infectious diseases Benefits Competitive Pay Paid Time Off (PTO) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Flexible Schedules Employee Discounts Career development and training opportunities We value your growth and offer a clear path to advance within the hospital—from technician certification to leadership roles in specialty or management.
