Suffern Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team who has a positive attitude, passion for animals, willingness to grow, learn, and develop their skills. This is a Part-time position with a flexible schedule. Our Assistants are an important part of our pet care team, providing excellent care to our patients as well as providing outstanding customer service to our clients. This position is a great opportunity for an assistant with at least 2 years’ experience working in a veterinary hospital. We understand how challenging veterinary medicine can be, but we also believe in the importance of balance. At Suffern Animal Hospital, we prioritize work-life balance and personal well-being. Skills we are looking for are: Greeting patients/clients Experience running in house lab equipment Preparing labs to be sent out Assisting veterinarian & technicians in rooms, radiology, treatment, ultrasound Proper holding technique for patients in exams rooms or when assisting Taking patient histories Pharmacy duties Handling medical records Daily cleaning We offer Outstanding benefits, including:
