Veterinary Behavior Assistant 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Huntington, NY 11743 Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care as a Veterinary Behavior Assistant. This role involves working closely with our veterinary behaviorist to support the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral issues in animals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in animal behavior, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for improving the well-being of animals.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Caring for our Boarding animals Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep Patient handling and restraint Medication administration & filling prescriptions Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!) Skills Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or GED required Preferred 1-3 years of veterinary medicine experience Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)
