Veterinary Assistant Pet Stat Animal Urgent Care 7161 Beth Bath Pike, Bath, PA 18014 Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant Pet Stat Animal Urgent Care is looking to add a full time Veterinary Assistant to our growing team, now that our privately owned urgent care clinic is open in the Lehigh Valley! Position Summary:

At Pet Stat Animal Urgent Care, our Veterinary Assistant’s play a critical role in providing immediate, high-quality care to animals with urgent needs. You will be working closely with veterinarians in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Veterinary assistants at Pet Stat will triage patients, obtain vitals and patient histories, approve and run diagnostics, support technicians and veterinarians, restrain patients, collect samples, and offer a quality level of care to our patients. We will soon be offering a leveling / tier system for all of our VA/VTs, allowing our staff to continuously grow within their designated roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the triage and intake of urgent care patients Triage incoming patients, assess condition severity, and prioritize care Safely handle and restrain animals for exams, procedures, and treatments Support technicians and veterinarians during urgent procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, IV setups) Prepare and clean exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces Stock and maintain medical supplies and equipment Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the veterinary team Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and equipment Provide comfort and reassurance to clients and pets in distress Help with patient admissions, discharges, and client education on post-visit care Accurately document patient information and assist with recordkeeping

Qualifications :

1-2 years of experience working in a veterinary setting Ideal candidate has ability to be crossed trained as a CSR Excellent communication skills Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays is a MUST. Our current hours are listed below but are subject to change in the near future: Sunday 11-9 pm Monday 12-8 pm Tuesday 12-8 pm Wednesday Closed Thursday 10-8 pm Friday 10-10 pm Saturday 10-10 pm The salary range for this position is $18 -22. Rate is dependent on experience.
