Qualities of the ideal candidate include, but are not limited to being able to: Take patient histories Assist with appointments Enter medical records and charges Perform laboratory tests Fill prescriptions Explain necessary follow-up and homecare instructions Stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis Be well-spoken and approach job duties in a mature nature Have experience in the teamwork approach and work well with all levels of hospital team members The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, friendly, motivated team player with experience working in the veterinary hospital setting as an advanced assistant or technician (licensed or not) and someone who is eager to learn. Outstanding customer service skills and exceptional communication skills are required as our technical staff is a key member of our client service team. Our clients choose our hospital because of the relationship and trust built between our team members, clients, and their pets. The schedules are on a 4 week rotation with 12 hour shifts. The position we are looking to fill will be a full time 12 hour shift ( 9:30am-10:30pm) with an hour lunch break to relax, recharge, and rest. Your work week will be 3 days on and 4 days off!
