Equine Veterinary Assistant Position Available In Greenville, South Carolina

Equine Veterinary Assistant Greenville Equine Travelers Rest, SC 29690 About Us Greenville Equine Veterinary Services is a premier equine practice run by Dr. Kate Auger. We are looking for a motivated individual to support our ambulatory team that provides sports medicine, annual wellness, internal medicine, elective surgery, and emergency services. Key Responsibilities Horse handling and jog/trotting horses for lameness and performance examinations Scrub and prep joint injection sites Assist with diagnostic imaging including radiography, ultrasonography, and gastroscopy procedures Draw blood for Coggins and other laboratory testing Clean, maintain, and unpack/pack equipment from work vehicle Stock inventory including medications and supplies Enter data and medical information into software system Drive doctors to barn/farm calls Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Qualifications Required:

Horse handling experience Ability to stand or exercise for extended periods of time Physical stamina and upbeat/energetic personality

Preferred:

Prior veterinary care (specifically equine) experience Schedule Monday to Friday, approximately from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (3-5 days/week) This schedule is subject to change based on time of year, number of daily scheduled appointments, and add-on emergency visits. Work Location The Ambulatory practice operates out of a veterinary equipped truck. Truck leaves from Travelers Rest, SC every morning.
