We are looking for a dedicated, kind-hearted animal lover with a positive attitude who can help us provide comprehensive, compassionate veterinary care. Natural skills with small animals are a must, but we are also looking for someone who has great communication with teammates, doctors and clients. Our facility offers comprehensive veterinary care for most companion animals including: preventive medicine, diagnostics, imaging, surgical and dental services, as well as pain management. We value your experience, education and credentials. Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have at least a year experience working with companion animals and: Excellent veterinary skill set Superior customer service and communication skills Works well on a team as well as independently Ability to effectively task shift & prioritize workload based on client, patient, and practice needs Computers skills: Electronic Medical Records (Avimark experience a plus) &
Microsoft Word Qualifications:
Perform safe and gentle restraint for examinations by a veterinarian Perform laboratory sample preparation for in-house machine analyses of urine & blood, and interpret results Perform digital radiographs The ability to accurately calculate drug dosages and administer vaccines & medications Communicate with and educate clients Filling prescriptions Organization & inventory management – helping keep all areas of hospital clean, stocked and organized Pitch in where needed to provide top-notch care
