Experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant 2.1 2.1 out of 5 stars 222 Sequoyah Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379 Sequoyah Animal Hospital is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic professionals to join our team. We are currently accepting applications experienced veterinary technicians and assistants. The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be self-motivated and be a strong team player. We are a busy, growing clinic and we depend on our caring, compassionate and reliable staff to create a positive experience for our clients and patients. Duties and responsibilities of the technician include: assisting the receptionists, helping doctors with physical examinations, client communication, dispensing medications, helping position patients for radiographs, prepare patients for surgery, provide nursing and comfort care for hospitalized and boarded pets, performing treatments, collecting samples (blood/urine/feces), and processing laboratory diagnostic tests Also responsible for helping to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Veterinary technicians must build positive, professional relationships with clients and staff members.
Physical requirements for include:
Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend/kneel throughout the day, stand for extended periods of time, comfort with proper restraint on dogs and cats.
