We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarian with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Take and develop X-rays
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Clean and sterilize equipment and surgical instruments
- Assist with animal handling and restraint
- Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
Skills:
- Proficient in X-ray techniques and interpretation
- Knowledge of kennel procedures, including cleaning, feeding, and exercise protocols
- Strong understanding of veterinary technician duties and responsibilities
- Familiarity with animal care best practices
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures
- Understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
- Excellent animal handling skills
- Ability to perform animal catheterization
- Proficient in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
