Lead Veterinary Technician Camelot Animal Hospital and Boarding Kennel 10441 Orange Drive, Davie, FL 33328 Lead Veterinary Technician – Full Time Camelot Animal Hospital and Boarding Kennel is looking for an energetic and dependable Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team serving a small animal general practice and ophthalmology practice. Camelot takes pride in offering high-quality veterinary care and outstanding personal service. We’re located in Davie, Florida just 20 minutes west of Ft. Lauderdale’s beach. Our property is a National Wildlife Federation “Certified Wildlife Habitat” – a beautiful and peaceful environment in which to work. We prefer a technician with a minimum 5 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital, licensed or license eligible.

Responsibilities include:
Induction and Intubation Advanced nursing skills Surgical Skills – Very comfortable in Surgery and requiring minimal supervision Assist with inventory ordering Point of contact for vendors/service providers Prepare and maintain clean, sterile and organized exam rooms, lab and treatment areas. Use safe and compassionate animal restraint and assist doctors with exams and treatments. Collect samples, perform venipuncture and run lab analyses. Assist with radiology. Wrap and sterilize surgical packs. Perform dental cleanings. Provide excellent client service and education Light administrative tasks Veterinary receptionist experience is a plus. Candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance, must have reliable transportation, and pre-employment background and reference checks are required.
