The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires a strong understanding of animal anatomy, husbandry, and the ability to perform various technical procedures. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and X-rays. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal health and behavior, providing necessary care and support. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper pet care, including nutrition and training techniques. Handle animal catheterization and dental procedures as needed. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Provide support in emergency situations, demonstrating quick decision-making skills. Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred. Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and dental terminology is essential. Experience with equine care is a plus. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and X-ray technology is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately in various situations. Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred but not mandatory. A willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on veterinary practices.
