Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced veterinary clinic and contribute to the well-being of animals.

Duties:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
• Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
• Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, exam rooms, and equipment
• Monitor the health and well-being of hospitalized animals

Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or similar role is preferred
• Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and practices
• Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Experience in handling dogs, cats, and other small animals
• Knowledge of equine care is a plus
• Understanding of veterinary critical care principles
• Excellent animal husbandry skills

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
