Duties:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
- Take X-rays
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor anesthesia during procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medication administration, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system
- Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Previous Veterinary Technician experience or similar role
- Proficiency in pet care, animal handling, and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and common veterinary procedures
- Familiarity with X-ray equipment operation and maintenance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
