Veterinary Technician Location is only 15 minutes from the beach! Only Open Monday

• Friday, and every 3rd Saturday of the month, 8 am
• Noon with no overnight responsibility! No on call! The actual work

Clientele Base:

We have a very supportive clientele base that have been part of the practice growth over the last 20 years. So many pets and their owners see All Paws as part of the family, as we do them!

Beautiful facility:

5 exam rooms (with 3 lift tables, 2 feline rooms) , separate office space, spacious waiting area and front desk, separate “peaceful passing” room, surgery suite with separate dental cleaning station, relaxing staff area/break lounge, in-house lab station.

Positions:

Full-time, Part-time Hourly wage: $16

• 23 per hour based on experience, negotiable based on experience and expertise level.

Schedule:

No nights Rotating weekends: We are open every 3rd Saturday of the month, 8 am•

Noon License/Certification:

Formal Schooling for Veterinary Technician Program/LVT/CVT a plus Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus

Performance Objectives:

Forward thinker. Anticipates doctor’s needs once familiar with doctor preferences. Keeps rooms moving efficiently and helping the owner and pet feel welcome. Does not waste time in between appointments. Knowledge of normal vitals for canine and feline patients. Able to detect when these parameters are abnormal and communicates with the doctor as such. Excellent pet handling skills and able to effectively work with a highly stressed animal safely. Able to determine when is best to handle the pet on a different day and realize when the situation maybe unsafe for staff and doctors. Assist doctor(s) with a thorough examination of patient(s) safely and efficiently with proper handling techniques. Proficiently capable of drawing blood via venipuncture from most common locations. Assists in implementing the detailed treatment plans to ensure patients recovery quickly from injury or illness. Completed patient records during each appointment for the case Clear communication with other team members to ensure all directives are completed Complete call backs in a timely manner

Capabilities/Key Competencies:

• Ability to instill in others the greatness and honor of being in the field of veterinary medicine Ability to create real agreements with the clients in order to build trust and attain willingness to comply to the medical recommendations and treatment plans Run diagnostics in order to help the doctor investigate and diagnose any medical issues Ability to acknowledge any barriers or disagreements and have the communication skills to handle all objections and ultimately advocate for the patient Understanding that client and patient follow up is an integral part to ensure the patient is continuously improving and clients are following recommendations Ability to utilize a practice management software solution (PIMS) Ability to set goals and targets that are achieved in order to be an inspiration to others Knowledge of strategic planning and creating vision in personal, professional and financial life.
