Veterinary Technician Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Veterinary Technician Tri-County Animal Rescue 21287 Boca Rio Road, Boca Raton, FL 33433 Join a team where your work truly saves lives. The Lois Pope Pet Clinic , located on the campus of Tri-County Animal Rescue , is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to support our no-kill mission and provide top-tier care to both shelter animals and community pets.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures, including prep, monitoring, and recovery Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed Perform in-house diagnostics, including blood draws, fecals, skin scrapes, and urinalysis Maintain accurate patient records and medical histories (Avimark experience a plus) Provide nursing care and monitor vital signs for hospitalized animals Restrain animals safely and humanely for exams and procedures Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and fellow team members Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment, surgical instruments, and exam areas

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience as a veterinary technician in a clinic or shelter setting Proficient in animal handling, restraint, and basic medical procedures Knowledge of common medications, vaccines, and preventatives Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a strong team ethic Passion for animal welfare and the no-kill shelter mission Avimark software experience preferred Certification as a

CVT/LVT/RVT

is a plus but not required
