We are an independently owned facility that is involved in a number of FDA trials that will improve the overall health of animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, effective communication, and a love for animals. We offere competitive wages and a great work environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Provide proper animal restraint during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for both staff and patients. Monitor animals’ health status before, during, and after surgical procedures. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment. Participate in the training of new staff or interns as needed. Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred. Experience in animal handling, care, and husbandry is essential. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and aseptic techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with X-Ray equipment and veterinary critical care practices is a plus. Surgical experience is a big plus Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
