Our practice is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our Cat Care Team. This position offers an exciting next step for a self-motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about the difference they make with their work. This individual is comfortable adapting to new scenarios, willing to learn new techniques and thinking outside of the box. This individual also is happy to pitch in wherever and whenever they are needed, with a positive attitude. Who demonstrates the ability to accomplish assigned tasks for all areas involved, knowing when to ask for assistance. Who displays excellent communication skills with your peers, customers and team. Veterinary technicians are key members of our Cat Care Team. Responsibilities include directly supporting and assisting our veterinarians in providing excellent care for our patients and clients, treating hospitalized patients, as well as other duties. You can be proud of the work you will do here. Our modern practice facility was designed with cats and people in mind. We are an AAHA Certified cat hospital and an AAFP Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice. We practice feline friendly handling. We do not declaw. We do not over-vaccinate. We follow AAFP guidelines to provide the latest in feline medical and surgical care.

  • Has at least one year of in-clinic and surgical experience Our ideal candidate is able to perform the following with accuracy and consistency:
  • Running and assisting doctors in exam rooms
  • Creating invoices and estimates and discussing these with clients with confidence
  • Reading skin scrapes, ear cytology, fecal parasite tests and urinalyses
  • Venipuncture
  • Catheter placement
  • Lab sample collection
  • Admitting and discharging surgical patients
  • Monitoring hospitalized patients
  • Dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians
  • Assisting with surgical procedures/dentals
