Our practice is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our Cat Care Team. This position offers an exciting next step for a self-motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about the difference they make with their work. Veterinary technicians are key members of our Cat Care Team. Responsibilities include directly supporting and assisting our veterinarians in providing excellent care for our patients and clients, treating hospitalized patients, as well as other duties. You can be proud of the work you will do here. Our modern practice facility was designed with cats and people in mind. We are an AAHA Certified cat hospital and an AAFP Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice. We practice feline friendly handling. We do not declaw. We do not over-vaccinate. We follow AAFP guidelines to provide the latest in feline medical and surgical care.

• Has at least one year of in-clinic and surgical experience Our ideal candidate is able to perform the following with accuracy and consistency:
• Running and assisting doctors in exam rooms
• Creating invoices and estimates and discussing these with clients with confidence
• Reading skin scrapes, ear cytology, fecal parasite tests and urinalyses
• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Lab sample collection
• Admitting and discharging surgical patients
• Monitoring hospitalized patients
• Dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians
• Assisting with surgical procedures/dentals
