The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. This position requires a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyze samples. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures. Provide dental care, including knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Assist with animal catheterization and other critical care tasks. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry and care practices. Support equine care when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of equine health needs. Skills The successful candidate will possess the following skills: Proficiency in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during examinations. Familiarity with dental terminology relevant to veterinary practices. Experience in animal catheterization for various species. Knowledge of equine health requirements and care practices. Certification or experience as a Veterinary Technician is highly desirable. Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments during procedures. Ability to train dogs using positive reinforcement methods. Strong background in animal husbandry practices to promote optimal health. Experience in veterinary critical care settings is a plus. Exceptional animal care skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards all animals.
