provide good, progressive medicine with compassionate care. This philosophy is why our clients love us! We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Veterinarian Technician to join our team. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you. Responsibilities Assist the doctor with appointments Conduct technician appointments under the the guidance of the Doctor Perform tasks such as radiography, IV catheter placement, intubation, cystocentesis for urine collection and drawing blood Perform dental cleanings, dental x-rays, dental charting, and assist the Doctor with dental extractions Monitor animals after surgery and prepare go-home instructions Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients Keep accurate and timely patient records Qualifications Completion of a program from an accredited Veterinary Technician program or equivalent work experience as a Veterinary Technician High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years experience as a Veterinary Technician Knowledge of pharmacology – including drug dose calculations, radiography, phlebotomy, cytology, urinalysis, laboratory procedures Ability to obtain blood samples, insert IVs, intubate, induce and monitor anesthesia Knowledge of animal care and handling Excellent communication skills Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment Patience and a love for animals Knowledge of Pulse a plus! CVT (Preferred) CPR Certification a huge plus!
