Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Emergency VeterinaryTechnician, you will:

Provide friendly, quality care to clients andpatientsDischarge patients from the clinicFill prescriptions anddraw bloodObtain vitals and assist in inducing and maintainingsedation or anesthesiaPlace and maintain IV cathetersAdministermedicationsAssist with surgical procedures and emergency services(CPR, catheterization, intubation, drug administration)Recognizeand report pain, distress, or other patient concerns

Compensationand BenefitsSalary:

$23 – $25 per hour (commensurate withexperience)•Overnight Shifts•Sign-on bonus up to$2,500QualificationsMinimum 2 years as a VeterinaryTechnician/Nurse (CVT or RVT strongly preferred)Associate’s Degreeor higherPrior experience in Emergency and/or Urgent CarepreferredSkillsEffective communication with clients andstaffAbility to safely lift objects or pets of at least 50lbsWorkwith or without direct supervisionRestrain and control cats anddogs of any temperamentRecognize concerning behaviors in petsMakeconversions and calculationsAdapt to different needs andpreferences of doctorsStrong organizational skillsKnowledge ofhospital procedures and operating instructions
