We strive to provide the best possible care to our clients and our patients, and have been doing so since the hospital opened in 1996. We are a mixed animal practice providing care to not only cats and dogs, but farm animals, small mammals, reptiles, and birds. Our services include wellness and illness exams, general surgery, dental care, and diagnostics. We also have state of the art equipment such as digital radiology, dental radiology, and cold laser therapy. Our hospital is conveniently located close to Atlanta as well as the North GA mountains. We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician that has an interest in teaching and training others! Position Skills:

Assisting with training and mentoring new hires
Extra responsibilities assigned by the Hospital Manager like assisting with scheduling needs and or inventory Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
