In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Prepare animals for surgery and monitor them during recovery. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide education to pet owners regarding animal care, nutrition, and training. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments. Skills To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following skills: Proficiency in animal handling to ensure safe interactions with pets. Knowledge of animal anatomy to assist in diagnostics and treatments. Experience in pet grooming to enhance the overall care provided to patients. Familiarity with laboratory procedures for conducting tests efficiently. Ability to perform X-rays and understand imaging techniques. Competence in animal catheterization for various medical needs.
