Animal Control Technician Position Available In Lumpkin, Georgia

Animal Control Technician Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners Dahlonega, GA 30533 The Animal Control Technician is responsible for enforcing state animal laws and county ordinances pertaining to domestic animals, livestock, and humane care within Lumpkin County. An employee in this class responds to calls concerning stray, dangerous, and injured cats and dogs, captures potentially rabid animals for quarantine or testing, investigates complaints of cruelty, neglect, and animal bites. Operates an Animal Control truck and other necessary county equipment. This position also assists in the day-to-day operations of the Animal Shelter, including, but not limited to: intake, adoptions, cleaning, feeding, and monitoring of the animals. Work is performed in accordance with the County Animal Control ordinances, state laws, and verbal and written county and department standard operating procedures. Specific instructions may be given when unusual problems occur. All work is subject to inspection by Shelter Manager.
