Veterinary Technician Loyalsock Animal Hospital, Inc. 1900 Northway Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 Are you a skilled Veterinary Technician who thrives in a hands-on, technical environment? We are looking for you! Our hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician who excels in the technical aspects of animal care. This role is perfect for those who prefer to focus on the medical and technical side of veterinary care, rather than client interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Anesthetic administration and monitoring
- Surgical preparation, assistance, and post-operative monitoring
- Dental cleaning and obtaining dental radiographs
- Peripheral IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Performing diagnostics in the laboratory and obtaining radiographs
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
Qualifications:
- Proven veterinary technician experience in a veterinary hospital
- Strong technical skills, including anesthetic monitoring and surgical assistance
- Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and calmly
- Excellent attention to detail
Schedule:
- Either 8
- or 10
- hours shifts, with one closing shift per week until 8 pm.
- One Saturday OR Sunday shift per month.
- Saturdays include morning appointments and evening treatments.
- Sundays include morning/evening treatments, with possible daytime emergency visits.
- Additional compensation provided for emergency visits.
