Job Description
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) False River Veterinary Clinic 615 Hospital Road, New Roads, LA The right candidates for our open position should be reliable, independent, compassionate, and have a strong technical background and knowledge of veterinary medicine. Pay is competitive and based on experience level. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to multi-task while managing priorities and providing consistent follow through. Our clinic is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 8am-5pm (closed 12-1pm for lunch break). Saturdays we are open 8am-12pm. Candidates must be able to work 2 Saturdays a month. We rotate kennel shifts between the kennel attendants/vet assistants, so that will require you to be on 1 weekend a month- Work Saturday AM, Saturday PM & Sunday AM & PM. It is best if you live within 20-30 minutes of New Roads, LA due to weekend kennel work. Interested candidates should have at least 2-3 years of experience in patient care, pharmacology, client communication skills, computer skills (we utilize Avimark ), ability to lift 50lbs, and reliable transportation. Our practice is one of the only clinics in New Roads & surrounding areas that has: in-house laboratory (Idexx), x-ray, & ultrasound.
