WHAT YOU’LL DO

Provides compassionate care to patients and clients Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy, including in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and record keeping Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas Prepare and maintain the surgical and dental areas including cleaning and packing instruments Keep patient bedding and kennels clean, including laundry Performs physical assessments and records observations, including triaging and problem solving to achieve the best possible outcomes Safe, low stress and compassionate handling and restraint Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients Pharmacy skills, including protocols for filling in-house Monitors vitals by hand and with equipment Sample collection and processing for in-house and reference labs Builds initial rapport and long-term relationships with both pets and clients, successfully communicates plans and estimates to owners Communicates within the team, proactively advocating for their patient’s needs
