Job Summary:
The Veterinary Technician will assist in providing high-quality patient care, support doctors in medical and surgical procedures, and ensure client education and satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone with strong clinical skills and a desire to continue growing in a supportive, progressive environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate care to patients and assist in medical , surgical , and dental procedures. Perform clinical laboratory procedures and maintain test results. Take radiographs, and administer EKGs and EEGs. Admit and discharge patients, counsel clients on animal care and medications. Clean surgical materials, stock the operating room, and follow instructions accurately. Assist in anesthesia and monitoring procedures, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting the doctor during procedures
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) Associates Degree preferred 1-3 years veterinary technician experience preferred Certified Veterinary Technician – $25.00 – $34.00
Job Summary:
The Certified Veterinary Technician provides skilled technical and medical support throughout all phases of veterinary care. This role includes assisting with advanced procedures and directly supporting veterinarians in surgery, anesthesia, and client education.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate care to patients. Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas. Perform physical examinations. Records observations on patients. Assist the doctor in medical, surgical, and dental procedures. Prepare patients for surgery. Assist the doctor in administering anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery. Give injections and administers oral medications in accordance with hospital policy. Perform clinical laboratory procedures such as fecal flotation exams, heartworm checks, skin scrapings, urinalysis, and fungal cultures. Performs physical exam; accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and Draw blood for lab analysis and maintains a file of lab test results. Utilize their ability to place peripheral intravenous catheter in cephalic vein. Take radiographs and administers EKGs and EEGs. Admit and discharges patients on the doctor’s orders. Ensure that patients are well-groomed and in a medically appropriate state. Counsel clients on various aspects of animal care. Explain the dosage/purpose of medications. Reinforce the proper care and procedures that should be followed at home. Make follow-up calls to clients. Properly cleans all surgical materials after they are used. Keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery. Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Qualifications:
