Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor and record vital signs and health status of animals. Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia induction and monitoring. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations or treatments. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program is required. Experience with animal handling and restraint techniques. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is a plus. Proficiency in performing dental X-rays and understanding dental terminology is beneficial.
