Our team stays on top of the latest advances in veterinary technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery. Here at Oakdale Animal Hospital, we are seeking a Part Time Certified Vet Tech to join our team! We have a large team of experienced CVTs that are dedicated to providing high quality care to patients and partnering with our skilled yet approachable DVM team. The CVT team at Oakdale Animal Hospital enjoy teaching and training new grads as well as supporting one another daily through learning new skills. Position Skills:

Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
Associates degree in Veterinary Technology Two days a week plus weekend rotation schedule 20-25 hrs a week Ready to help us WAG? Part Time Benefits:
