Veterinary Technician/Customer Care Representative Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital 77 Memorial Parkway, Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716 The Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital is a client-focused veterinary practice that serves our community with companssion and personalized care. Our two doctor team is supported by dedicated staff and loyal clients who trust us with their pets’ well being. We pride ourselves on providing high quality medical care in a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking to add a new team member who will care for our patients as if they are your own and develop a bond with their owners. This will be a cross-trained position, encompassing both animal care and client communication. We are considering both full-time and part-time. Full time to include benefits.
Qualifications:
Veterinary technician experience is required for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid administration, blood pressure measurements, surgical monitoring.
- Assisting doctors in the exam room: patient restraint for examinations and diagnostic procedures, lifting patients onto the exam table, maintaining cleanliness of the exam room, tracking lab samples taken during the visit.
- Lab sample prep, both for submission to the lab and in-house testing, performing in house diagnostics
- Performing radiographs
- Hospitalized patients: Care/husbandry of sick patients and post-operative patients
- Maintain medical records, medical record entry
- Reception duties: Answering phones, scheduling appointments, relaying messages both to and from the doctors, checking patients in and out.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the hospital.
Maintaining stock.
Job Requirements:
- Previous veterinary technician experience or degree
- Ability to multitask and adjust to a schedule that changes throughout the day
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds without assistance
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work well with others
- Great phone/customer service skills
- Computer skills are a must
Job Types:

$15.50
- $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 20
