Veterinary Technician Canisteo Veterinary Hospital 58 West Main Street, Canisteo, NY 14823 Licensed Veterinary Technician – Full Time or Part Time positions available in Canisteo NY Locations. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our dedicated team! Role:
As an LVT, you’ll play a vital role in patient care, assisting veterinarians in exam rooms, treatments, surgical procedures, lab work, and pharmacy management . You’ll also provide client education and ensure a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide exceptional nursing care to patients ✅ Assist in examinations, diagnostics, and treatments ✅ Administer medications, vaccinations, and anesthesia monitoring ✅ Perform X-rays, blood draws, and laboratory tests ✅ Maintain accurate medical records and patient history ✅ Educate clients on pet health, wellness, and post-care instructions ✅ Ensure compliance with OSHA and hospital safety protocols
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Active NY State Veterinary Technician License (required) ✔ Strong technical and clinical skills ✔ Knowledge of veterinary pharmaceuticals and treatments ✔ Compassion, integrity, and a team-first attitude ✔ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. independently ✔ Proficiency in veterinary software and computer systems (preferred) Why Join Us?
