Responsibilities Work cooperatively with veterinarians and support staff during examinations and surgical procedures. Ensure the best care and treatment of our patients by taking a personal interest in their well being. Provide critical care and medical treatments to hospitalized patients. Surgical preparation and anesthesia induction and monitoring. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Educate and work with pet owners so that they can provide the best lives for their pets. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Draw blood from collapsed veins, trim the nails of a velociraptor , express the anal glands of a pet that doesn’t like being touched, calm an owner who insists that you don’t know what you’re doing and that you’re unfit to care for their pet. Qualifications Confident and skilled in veterinary diagnostic and treatment procedures. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Compassion when its difficult to muster. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ability to not escalate a stressful, confrontational situation. Face emotional situations and maintain professionalism. Truly love dogs and cats.
