WhatYou’ll Do As a Veterinary Emergency Technician at MVA, you’ll be onthe front line of urgent patient care, working in a dynamic andfast-paced environment. In this role, you will: Triage incomingpatients by assessing their medical needs and prioritizingtreatments based on urgency. Provide immediate critical care—administer fluids, medications, and other life-savinginterventions while closely monitoring patient status. Collaboratewith emergency veterinarians and fellow technicians to devise andexecute treatment plans for a variety of acute and complex cases.

Communicate compassionately with pet parents , offering clearupdates, reassurance, and empathy during stressful moments.

Maintain a calm, organized workspace and ensure rapid access to thesupplies and equipment needed for emergency interventions.

Participate in ongoing training and case discussions , sharpeningyour skills and staying current with the latest emergency protocolsand best practices. Anticipated Schedule This is a full-time position with thefollowing available schedules:

Requirements What We’re Looking For We’re seeking VeterinaryEmergency Technicians who can excel under pressure and findfulfillment in delivering critical care.

You likely have:

Experience in a fast-paced emergency or ICU setting , with a provenability to remain calm and efficient under pressure. Strongclinical skills , including IV catheter placement, venipuncture,laboratory sample processing, and anesthesia. Effectivecommunication for liaising with both clinical staff and concernedpet parents, especially in urgent or high-stress scenarios.

Confidence in triage and rapid assessment , recognizing subtlechanges in patient condition and acting decisively.
