23779 Woodruff Road Animal Hospital is located in Simpsonville, South Carolina just less than 15 miles outside of the vibrant city of Greenville. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We utilize electronic medical records, have Idexx out lab and Idexx in-house diagnostics including Sedivue, digital dental x-ray and DR x-ray. Role Responsibilties:
Help develop training protocols and train new employees Lead by example and promote high quality vet care Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
Proficient in dental prophylaxis
Role Qualifications:
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state. Associates degree in Veterinary Technology Experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, strongly preferred An interest in growth and leadership, strongly preferred Benefits Our team members enjoy an extensive, comprehensive benefits package.
