In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients, as well as supporting pet owners with their concerns and questions. This position requires a strong understanding of animal anatomy, veterinary practices, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging. Monitor animal vital signs and report any changes to the veterinarian. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Provide education to pet owners regarding animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and exercising animals in care. Utilize dental terminology to assist with dental cleanings and procedures as needed. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Proven experience in dog handling and training techniques. Knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary critical care practices. Familiarity with animal catheterization procedures is preferred. Strong skills in pet care, including grooming and basic first aid for animals. Experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
